325 Summer of Celebration

In 1638, Swedish and Finnish settlers arrived on the Kalmar Nyckel and Fogel Grip and established Fort Christina in what is now Wilmington Delaware.  Holy Trinity (Old Swedes) Church was constructed in 1698 and consecrated on Trinity Sunday 1699.  Standing the test of time, Old Swedes Church is one of the very few surviving remnants of the New Sweden Colony in the Delaware Valley and one of the oldest structures in Delaware.

In celebration of the 325th anniversary of the consecration of Old Swedes Church, we are having a Summer of Celebration.

The 325th Summer of Celebration – Where will your decimal go?

We are inviting you to join us in a mini campaign to support our 325th Summer of Celebration.

Our goal is to raise $32,500 to improve the cemetery and amphitheater grounds, provide infrastructure for the Music Festival,
and reception for Presiding Bishop Michael Curry’s visitation.

We are looking for gifts of all sizes: $32.50, $325.00, $3,250.00 or whatever amount works with your budget.
Gifts can be made using our Vanco online service (link below), by check or by cash.

Any monies raised in excess of our goal will go into the endowment of Trinity to support the ministry of future generations.
