Genesis 25.19-34
Abraham has taken another wife, Keturah, by whom he has had sons; they are the founders of Arabic tribes. Ishmael, his son by Hagar, is the father of tribes between Egypt and Arabia. In ancient times, children were considered to be a gift from God.
Romans 8.1-11
Paul has written of the inner conflict which arises within the believer. While one wills to be godly, somehow one finds oneself not living up to these standards. Wretched as such a situation is, Christians are assured of rescue from it.
Matthew 13.1-9, 18-23
The crowd that has come to hear Jesus is so large that he teaches from a boat on the Sea of Galilee. He tells several parables; the first one about the sower and the seed, and he explains, but only partially.

A Meaningful Fourth of July Weekend
Thank you to everyone who joined us for worship this weekend! As we marked the Fourth of July, we gave thanks for the many blessings we share, prayed for our nation and all who serve it, and reflected on the deeper freedom we find in Christ.
Gathering together in prayer and worship is a reminder that, whatever is happening in the world around us, God continues to call us to lives of hope, compassion, and faithful service.

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for (audience)? Why should they care (benefit)? What do I want them to do (call-to-action)?
Create a great offer by adding words like “free,” “personalized,” “complimentary,” or “customized.” A sense of urgency often helps readers take action, so consider inserting phrases like “for a limited time only” or “only 7 remaining!”

Support will be provided by those gathered together on Tuesdays at 11:30 am around the prayer rug in the nook of the dining room.
If you are interested in joining or helping form a prayer group that meets regularly to pray for the needs and concerns of our parish, parishioners, and the wider community, we would love to see you! The prayer group will meet every Tuesday beginning on Tuesday, July 14th.

Epiphany House Volunteer Opportunity
Trinity Parish is seeking a volunteer to help provide transportation for residents of Epiphany House (722 N. Union Street) to ShopRite for grocery shopping on the second Tuesday of September and October. Coverage has been found for July and August, but September and October still need volunteers.
This is a simple but meaningful way to support members of our community. The volunteer would pick up a resident at 6:30 p.m., drive them to ShopRite, and return them to Epiphany House when they are finished shopping. There is no need to accompany the resident into the store.
To volunteer or learn more, please contact Beth Copson at bcopson@comcast.net or 302-584-6855.
