America 250 at Old Swedes Amphitheater: A Festival of Remembrance and Renewal

Join us for a special afternoon of music, history, and reflection as we celebrate America 250 at the Old Swedes Amphitheater. This community festival brings together stirring performances and meaningful storytelling in a spirit of remembrance and renewal.

The program features the Delaware 1st Regiment Fife and Drum Band, OperaDelaware presenting American music of the 20th century, John Moore’s powerful presentation “Echoes of a Prophet” highlighting the life and speeches of Martin Luther King Jr., Pieces of a Dream Dance, and an afternoon of vintage jazz.

Come gather with neighbors and friends as we honor our shared history and look ahead with hope. All are welcome!
